Required Skills:

Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform

5-7 years of experience managing Linux environments

3-5 years of software development experience in either Python, Go, or Rust

Deep understanding of software development lifecycle

3+ years of experience working with system/service monitoring tools

Experience managing shared, multi-tenant platform services

Experience managing public cloud infrastructure and comfortable working with hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud, preferably AWS)

Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

Basic understanding of identity management systems like Okta or Active Directory

Experience with CI/CD, release, and lifecycle management of IaC across multiple environments

 


Job Description:

In this senior-level DevSecOps engineer role, you will make a significant impact through your focus on security and your background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, specifically Terraform. You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to system architecture design, and participate in the day-to-day operations of the Vault platform. You will also handle complex support situations, working closely with various teams to facilitate their secure integration with Vault.

Your primary responsibilities include guiding the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the Vault platform, creating and maintaining integration patterns, and leading the integration of teams with Vault. You will also focus on service improvements, and disaster recovery procedures, and stay updated on industry developments.

 

Other Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience

Strong leadership and mentorship skills, including experience leading teams and applying agile methodologies

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A strong security-focused demeanor with experience guiding teams through secure integration following best practices
