As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, embedded software developers, technicians, you will be engaged in a team of software testers for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of liquid rocket engine controller development. Your experience implementing embedded controller software verification in compliance with DO-178C, will be crucial to the development of a reliable engine. Your contribution will include continued development of hardware and software environments for utilization in software verification, coordination with the SW Development team to resolve issues identified in testing as well as, with the integrated product team to implement these activities on a schedule that supports the overall engine development. Your proficiency in C, C++, Rust, and Python will support ongoing development activities on our Linux-based hardware-in-the-loop system.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain a positive and profession relationships and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • 1+ year of software development, integration, systems engineering and testing experience in compliance with DO-178C (preferred; level commensurate on experience)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills regarding technical subjects.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time. Conduct and/or coordinate several test projects simultaneously to meet required schedule.
  • Ability to communicate test and analysis results optimally.
  • Understanding of the principles, concepts and methods of requirements writing such as the understanding of robustness, Unambiguous, complete, verifiable, traceable are validated prior to beginning any testing.

Desired:
  • Collaborate with avionics subsystems to identify current technology capabilities, challenges and develop solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Use measurement and analysis to determine root causes for failures in avionics testing.
  • Proficiency with the Rust Language.
  • Embedded Software Development experience.
  • Experience using artifact management tools for requirement management (Doors Next Gen, Jama).
  • Develop procedures and software automation that will be used in instrumentation installation and testing.
  • Writing test/install/checkout procedures and managing procedural redlines and updates during execution.
  • Experience working in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or system integration labs (SIL).
  • Applied experience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Estimated hourly wage (Colorado only): $82K- $137K
