Who we are:

The Measurements team is part of Analytics Enablement, focusing on creation of data sets and supporting data infrastructure for the entire SMB organization. We’re working in AWS using Athena to process data using SQL. We have architected and built an in-house Rust orchestration system that understands dataset time series, dependencies, and validity.

Who You Are:

As a staff software engineer on this team, you will be involved in all aspects of the system from systems architecture to implementing concurrent processes in Rust. You will coordinate with company stakeholders and other teams to create unique data infrastructure, run tests on their designs to isolate errors, and update systems to accommodate changes in company needs.


  • Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using cloud technologies such as AWS and relational database technologies such as MySQL or SQL Server
  • Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business metrics
  • Lead the architecture and design of solutions, provide technical direction and expertise to the rest of the team
  • Build and enhance data infrastructure and pipelines to ensure a high degree of reliability, performance and scalability
  • Mentor and instill in team members best practices on software development in order to increase automation and operational excellence
  • Work with stakeholders to develop strategic solutions and data infrastructure that meet their needs

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, Rust
  • 3+ years of experience building data pipelines using Terraform, SQL and Athena
  • 3+ years of experience building full-stack applications with React and Redux
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring more junior engineers
  • Significant experience building large scale, high-performance systems
  • Rust and/or GraphQL experience is preferred

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
