Do you build great software? Do you want to work on some of the most challenging computer science problems around complexity and size of data, robustness of systems, etc? Our software engineering team builds all our core tools that research and trading happen on. This is an opportunity to be exposed directly to trading and research, and the impact you can have on that process.

We are looking for skilled individuals with a great deal of engineering skill and a desire to learn about the world of finance.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the core research engine.
• Work on the core trading engine.
• Work on our data visualization tools.
• Build data pipelines to process static or streaming data from various sources.
• Build custom libraries, functions, and tools for our researchers.

Qualifications:

• Graduating in 2023 with a BS / MS / PhD from a top tier university in Computer Science or similar programming oriented background.
• Impressive academic record.
• Expert level at many areas of Computer Science (e.g. data structures, programming languages, distributed computing/cloud computing, etc).
• Programming expertise in Python and/or Java. Expertise in C/C++/Rust in lieu of Java is acceptable.
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure) tools.
• Strong interest in building software for everyday use in financial markets.
• Ability to test, document and communicate how your code works including building samples for complex libraries/functions.
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies on-the-fly and experiment with new open source packages to solve problems.
• Comfortable with Linux as daily compute environment.
• Previous software engineering internships at tech companies (silicon valley startups) or full-time roles (a plus).
• Involvement in a large scale open source project or similar large-scale project (a plus).
• Low level knowledge of Linux (e.g. being a kernel contributor) (a plus).
