The Security DevOps Engineer IV will provide technical thought leadership across multiple engineering teams to build the foundation for modern business applications in the company. In this role, you will provide thought leadership to drive the technology strategy and foster the use of modern infrastructure and cloud software engineering practices to build, secure and maintain the core capabilities used by our data and application teams to drive business value. You will also provide technical leadership and influence to inspire engineers to constantly learn and apply new trends and technologies to handle business problems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to drive the execution of the technology vision and strategy for engineering.
Provide technical leadership and influence the use of software development and infrastructure as code practices to build the platforms, systems and infrastructure.
Design, develop, test, deploy, support and enhance the highly complex automated infrastructure and platform components.
Provide expert leadership across multiple engineering teams to resolve highly complex problems and remove road blocks.
Participate in the engineering community by being a coach and mentor to engineers, share new technical trends and modern skills and present code best practices.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Minimum of three years of infrastructure automation or equivalent experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Software development automation tools and processes (i.e. GitHub, Golang, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs)
Open Source Contributions or Public GitHub Repos
Scripting for automation or prototyping (i.e. python, Terraform, rust, etc.)
Exposure to Scrum or other agile development
Break/fix and triage activities with dependent applications and teams
Emergency On-Call rotations
Positive coaching and learning engagements with colleagues
Excellent written and verbal communication of complex architectures or use cases
Design, deploy and enhance moderately complex automated infrastructure and platform components
Experience with Authorization or Authentication processes and technologies
Strong ability to set direction and influence others without direct authority
Demonstrated history of driving organizational change
